. - Colorado School of Mines' Devon Dunmire, Emily Garnier, and Sam Zumbro have been honored as CoSIDA Academic All-District for their outstanding athletic and academic achievements.

It is the first career Academic All-District selection for all three. They are the first Orediggers to earn the honor since Anna Evans and Kelsey Neal in 2013. Mines' three honorees are the most in District 6, which includes the Heartland, Lone Star, and Rocky Mountain Athletic conferences.

Dunmire, a junior, has worked her way into a starting midfielder role for the Orediggers this season, notching an assist in eight starts and 16 appearances. An RMAC Academic Honor Roll member, Dunmire was the 2015 RMAC Summit Award winner and First-Team All-Academic team member. She holds a 4.0 GPA in geophysical engineering.

Garnier, a junior, has anchored Mines' outstanding backline with 16 starts at center back. She has also been Mines' top offensive producer with a team-best 17 points on five goals and seven assists. A team captain, Garnier was the RMAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, RMAC First-Team All-Academic, and the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week this season; as a sophomore she earned D2CCA Honorable Mention All-America status as the RMAC Defensive Player of the Year. Garnier is a computer science major with a 3.48 GPA.

Zumbro, a senior, has started every game in goal for Mines and sports a 14-2 record with a league-best 0.59 GAA. The team captain was an RMAC First-Team All-Academic member and has been a two-time RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week this season. She has six solo shutouts and combined for five others. Zumbro holds a 3.45 GPA majoring in geological engineering.

To be eligible for Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings. Academic All-District honorees move on to the Academic All-America ballot; that team will be announced Nov. 21.
