GOLDEN, Colo. - Join Colorado School of Mines softball on Saturday, April 15 at 11 a.m. as they host StrikeOut Cancer Day during their series with Chadron State.
The Orediggers have set a fundraising goal of $1,500 towards the National Foundation for Cancer Research, and you can help them reach it with a donation via Crowdrise. Mines led NCAA Division II in fundraising for StrikeOut Cancer Day in 2016.
StrikeOut Cancer is a program developed by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, particularly those cancers affecting women and children. Softball teams from around the nation at every level from high school to college are participating, leveraging personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of softball coaches nationwide to help increase cancer education and promote healthy living.
The Orediggers (19-11 / 16-8 RMAC) will take on Chadron State on April 14 and April 15, with doubleheaders each day.
