Leah Glasgow

Leah Glasgow completed her sixth season as head coach of the Colorado School of Mines softball program in 2019.

The 2017 and 2018 RMAC Coach of the Year, Glasgow has rebuilt Mines into a competitor in the RMAC, and has won 139 games over the last six years to make her the all-time winningest coach in program history. In 2019, Mines reached the RMAC Tournament for the fourth straight year on the back of a third straight winning season as balanced pitching and offense led them to 28 wins. The Orediggers were the RMAC's most improved defensive team as well finishing with a .967 fielding percentage to rank second in the conference.

In 2018, Glasgow guided Mines to its third straight RMAC Tournament berth with another winning season. Behind four all-RMAC selections, Mines put up historic offensive numbers led by Clara Larson, who set or tied the Mines single-season records for RBI and home runs.

The 2017 season was one of the best in program history after Mines went 32-15 and advanced to the RMAC Tournament final. The young Oredigger squad had one of the league's best pitching rotations and was the RMAC's most improved defensive team as they made their second consecutive RMAC Tournament trip and finished second in the regular-season standings despite being picked eighth in the preseason coaches' poll. Mines' 32 wins were its most since 2013, and they also appeared in the NCAA regional rankings for the first time since that season.

In her four seasons, Mines has garnered 15 all-RMAC selections, an Academic All-American (Melissa Marshall '14), two Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District selections (Marshall and Cassie Ford '15), a Louisville Slugger/NFCA National Player of the Week pick (Ford), and seven RMAC all-academic team members.
Glasgow is 83-102 over four seasons.

Glasgow's tenure has been marked by rapid improvement of the program. In 2016, despite having one of the nation's youngest line-ups, the Orediggers made the RMAC Tournament for the first time since 2013, cliching on the final day of the season and upsetting higher-seeded Regis in the tournament's first round. Mines garnered five all-RMAC selections in 2016, led by second-teamers Hallie Smith, Paige Noehring, and Sonoma Toot.

Glasgow previously served as First Assistant Softball Coach at California State University, San Marcos from 2010 to 2013, where she oversaw the development of six All-Americans, two Conference Pitchers of the Year and 12 all-conference selections.

As the chief hitting instructor at Cal State San Marcos, Glasgow raised the team batting average from to .310 in 2011 to .358 in 2012 and increased RBI production from 290 to 388 over that span. Coinciding with the offensive output increase, the Cougars reached No. 4 in the national rankings in 2011, No. 3 in 2012 and No. 1 in the 2013 preseason.

After helping guide CSUSM to a school-record 55 wins and the A.I.I. Conference championship, she was named to the NFCA/NAIA West Region Coaching Staff of the Year in 2012. The Cougars advanced to the NAIA Championships in each of her three seasons, finishing fourth in both 2011 and 2012.

In addition to her on-field responsibilities, Glasgow held the role of Athletics Academic Mentor (2010-13), ensuring new student-athletes complied with campus and athletic GPA requirements.

Before joining the CSUSM staff, she was assistant coach at San Diego City College for two seasons as well as softball instructor at Rip City Academy and head coach of the 18U Power Surge Softball Club.

A native of Scotts Valley, Calif., Glasgow was a NAIA All-American at Dickinson State University in Dickinson, N.D. In 2006, she was named Dakota Athletic Conference 10 (DAC 10) Player of the Year and in 2007, en route to leading the Blue Hawks to the NAIA Elite Eight, garnered All-DAC 10 selection and Region III Most Valuable Player accolades. A recipient of the NAIA Champion of Character of Award, Glasgow was honored as the Dickinson State University Female Senior Athlete for the Class of 2007.

She began her collegiate playing career at West Valley College in Saratoga, Calif., twice earning All-California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) and All-Coast Conference awards, including Coast Conference Player of the Year merit in 2005.

Glasgow graduated from Dickinson State in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and minor in sociology. She received a master's in sports business management from San Diego State in 2009.
