SILVER CITY, N.M. – The Colorado Mines women's basketball team held homestanding Western New Mexico to 19 percent shooting while shooting 51.8 percent from the floor to post a 77-36 victory on Saturday afternoon at Drag's Court in Silver City, N.M.
 The Orediggers (4-9, 3-4 RMAC) used a 29-of-56 effort from the field and a 10-of-23 line from downtown (43.5 percent) to record their highest point output of the season. They posted 17 assists on their 29 field goals while some stifling defense held the Mustangs (0-11, 0-8 RMAC) to just 11-of-58 shooting from the field and a meager 3-of-23 effort (13 percent) from 3-point land.
 CSM also turned 16 WNMU turnovers into 21 points and the squad added six blocks and eight steals defensively during the contest.
 The Orediggers took their second and final lead of the ballgame, 8-5, just 2:32 into the contest on a 3-point basket by senior Stephanie Fogle. They continued to add to their lead throughout the game, rushing out to a 41-19 halftime lead. They outscored the Broncos 36-17 in the second half and the Orediggers' bench posted 34 points, with the majority coming in the second stanza.
 Angie Charchalis once again led the team in scoring with 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field while adding a game-high six assists (no turnovers) and a team-high four steals.
 Fogle posted 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting, including a perfect 3-of-3 line from 3-point land. Tori Langas added nine points of the bench on 4-of-5 shooting. In all, 13 different Orediggers recorded at least two points in the victory.
 CSM will return to Golden next weekend for a pair of home contests against No. 3 Metro State and Regis. The Orediggers kick off the weekend's action against the third-ranked Roadrunners at Lockridge Arena at 6 p.m. on Friday.
