HILLSDALE, Mich. – Senior Hannah Schuster solidified herself as the top 800 runner in school history, earning her second NCAA Provisional time in as many days as the Colorado School of Mines outdoor track and field teams closed the 47th Annual Hillsdale College Gina Relays in Michigan on Saturday.

After setting the program's indoor 800 record at the Grand Valley State Big Meet in Allendale, Michigan back in February, Schuster circled the Ken Herrick Track in Hillsdale to a fourth-place time of 2:12.15, finishing only behind a trio of Division I competitors in the 20-runner field. The No. 2-ranked 800 result in the RMAC topped the previous Mines record, set by Marie Patton in 2010, by 0.51 seconds and was nearly 2.5 seconds faster than her personal-record from 2012.

Senior Tyler Curtis followed up his Provisional and school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase from yesterday with 13th place out of 50 runners in the 1500 open in 4:00.78. Red-shirt freshman Marty Andrie took 22nd in 4:06.22 and senior Rick Davey was 25th in 4:06.96.

Senior Russell Drummond and junior Frank Socha grabbed 11th and 18th, respectively, out of 22 runners in the 800 field with season-best times of 1:53.17 and 1:55.00.

The Orediggers return to action on Sunday, May 5 for the three-day 2013 RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Stermole Track & Field Complex/Crouch Field Events Complex in Golden.
