No. 2 Colorado Mesa Bucks Women's Basketball

GRAND JUNCTIONSharaya Selsor and Aubry Boehme combined for 54 points and WBCA/USA TODAY Sports No. 2 Colorado Mesa cruised to its 31st straight home win, defeating the Colorado School of Mines women's basketball team 85-54 Friday evening at Brownson Arena.

Efficient on offense, CMU (18-0, 14-0 RMAC) assisted on 23 of its 32 baskets, shooting 59.3 percent (32-of-54) for the game, including 24-of-32 on two-point field goals as the Mavericks outscored Mines 38-14 in the point.

Ranked No. 2 in Division II in scoring prior to weekend play, Selsor finished with 30 points on 11-of-19 field goals to lead all scorers, while Boehme, who entered the day fifth in field goal percentage, had a season-high 24 behind 10-of-12 shooting.

Taylor Rock directed the offense with nine assists to go with eight points and six rebounds.

Junior Taylor Helbig led Mines (6-12, 5-9 RMAC) with 11 points and senior Allie Grazulis added 10 and a team-best eight boards, becoming the fifth Oredigger in history to surpass 700 rebounds in a career with 702.

The Mavericks held Mines to 15-of-45 (.333) shooting and only 4-of-18 (.222) makes from the perimeter.

The women will look to rebound at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow against Western State at Paul Wright Gym in Gunnison.
