GOLDEN – Colorado School of Mines softball was held scoreless Saturday against Colorado State-Pueblo, falling 10-0 and 19-0 in back-to-back five-inning games at CSM Softball Field in Golden.
Mines (7-12, 3-7 RMAC) was limited to only five hits between the contests, led by junior Cassie Ford and freshman Rebecca Fallon with two apiece.
Ford was 2-for-2 in the opener – her team-best 10th multi-hit game, while Fallon went 1-for-2 in each game with one double.
Senior Morgan Anderson finished 1-for-2 with a double in game two.
The ThunderWolves (8-11, 5-3 RMAC) combined for 29 hits and plated runs in eight of the 10 innings, including a nine-run second inning in the nightcap.
The teams conclude the four-game series with an 11 a.m. doubleheader Sunday.
