HOW IT HAPPENED
Colorado School of Mines scored 45 points in the first half on the way to a 52-28 rout of Adams State in the season finale.

Justin Dvorak threw for 382 yards and four touchdowns and Sam Seeton barreled his way to 145 yards rushing, three touchdowns, and 89 receiving yards to cap off his breakout season with arguably his best career game.

Dvorak hit Jimmy Ellis to start the scoring on a 16-yard pass, but Adams' Phil Romero caught a 37-yarder to tie things up on the Grizzlies' opening drive. Mines then rattled off two straight scores, with Seeton rolling in from 19 out and Zach Richter snaring a 15-yard pass with 3:03 left in the first quarter. Johnny Feauto added an Adams State touchdown in the quarter's closing seconds.

That would be the Grizzlies' final touchdown until the fourth quarter, however, as Mines (8-3, 6-3 RMAC) reeled off 31 consecutive points. Cole Spurgeon caught a 15-yard touchdown pass to start the second quarter before Avery Llewellyn hit a 27-yard field goal, and Dvorak brought out the cannon to find Ty Young on a 79-yard touchdown. Seeton punched in from three yards to end the half with Mines up 45-14.

Seeton scored again to open the third quarter, this time on a two-yard tote, and Adams tacked on two late touchdowns to make it 52-28.
