How It Happened
Caitlin Kaltenbaugh's golden goal in the first overtime completed a three-goal comeback as Colorado School of Mines overcame a 2-0 Regis lead to win 3-2 on Friday.

The Orediggers (5-2, 3-0 RMAC) stretched their win streak to four matches with a win over their cross-town rivals, who received votes in this past week's NSCAA Top 25 poll.

Regis scored twice around halftime, first on Rikki Fix's goal at 41' and then with Akina Fujimoto's strike 1:42 into the second. That left Mines a 2-0 hole to dig out of, and Brooke Stoermer started the comeback at 51' on her goal from Kaltenbaugh's creation.

Freshman Acacia Ortiz leveled the proceedings on the hour, but that was the scoring in regulation despite some late chances for the Orediggers, who ripped 21 shots to Regis' nine in the game. In the extra period, Regis had early chances turned aside, and Stoermer created the opportunity for the winner with a rebounded shot that Kaltenbaugh deposited 7:13 into overtime.

Notables
- Kaltenbaugh's goal was her second of the season and seventh of her career. Remarkably, every single one of the junior's goals has been a game-winner, but this was her first in overtime. Her assist on Stoermer's opener was her first of the year and second career.
- Stoermer's goal was her first of the season and third of her career.
- Ortiz extended her team goals and points lead with her third strike of the season. The freshman has seven points from as many games.
- Regis' first goal snapped a scoreless streak of 310:16 for Sam Zumbro and the Mines defense, their longest of the season thus far.
- Zumbro came up big in overtime, making an early save on Regis' Maggie Saras, one of her two stops. Counterpart Brianna Randall had six saves, one in overtime.
- Stoermer and Kaltenbaugh led all players with five shots each. Stoermer and Laya Rybicki each put a pair on goal.
