Box Score How It Happened
Dallas Baptist used a pair of second-half goals from Lindsey Washburn to get past #4 Colorado School of Mines in the 2015 season opener on Sept. 3.
Mines controlled the flow of the game in the first half with both Laya Rybicki and Caitlin Kaltenbaugh putting chances on the goal, but the Patriots - an NCAA Tournament team last year who played their opening-round game at Mines' Stermole Stadium - turned the tide in the second half to generate Washburn's brace.
DBU broke through on Washburn's first goal at 57' from Maddie Owen, and Washburn struck again at 72' on a pinpoint set piece from the top of the box.
Mines generated three late chances, including a dangerous pinball in the box off Emily Garnier's free kick, but none found the net.
