Colorado School of Mines went 3-0 with wins over three regionally-ranked teams to make it a memorable Saturday at the Midwest Duals hosted by Nebraska-Kearney.

The Orediggers (6-1) won 21-18 thrillers over the University of Mary and Northern State, with a 30-11 win against Minot State in the middle. All three were ranked in the last Super Region 3 poll, with Northern State at #9, Mary at #10, and Minot at #12; Mines came in ranked #10 in SR4.

Mines was led by #6 Paul Wilson, who picked up two falls in a combined 1:16 before defeating #7 Joe Gomez to secure the win over Northern State. Zachary Gracia also went 3-0 at 125 including a pin to start the Northern State match,

Paul Wilson's 23-second fall at 197 pounds secured the win as Mines defeated University of Mary 21-18 in a back-and-forth thriller.

The two teams alternated wins the entire way beginning with Zachary Gracia's 9-6 decision over Josh Jensen at 125 pounds. Lukas Erickson earned the match's only point on an escape to beat Reed Cronin 1-0 at 141, and Ethan Ruby stuck Dane Fischer for a first-period fall at 157 for six points that proved to be critical.

Rocky Michaelson gave Mines a 15-9 lead after 174 pounds with his 6-4 win against Riley Nagel, but Jacob Green's 6-4 sudden victory win against Karl Breidenbach at 184 kept the door open for Mary. Wilson shut it, however, with his quick pin of Jonathan Pelach, and Mines forfeited heavyweight not needing the points.
