#22 Mines vs. Regis, Saturday, 5 p.m. [Live Stats] [Video]

After back-to-back weekends on the road, #22 Mines volleyball is home for matches against Chadron State and Regis on Parent's Weekend. Saturday's match against RU is also Senior Day for the Orediggers' five seniors.

SENIOR NIGHT
Saturday's match against Regis will also be the Orediggers' Senior Night where seniors Alanna Winfield, Taryn Huber, Ashlyn Eitemiller, Samantha Fischer and Johanna Boyer will be honored at the conclusion of the match.

LAST WEEKEND REWIND
After dropping a highly contested match at RMAC-leader MSU Denver, Mines bounced back with an authoritative sweep at UCCS. The shutout of the Mountain Lion was due in large part to the stellar play of Ellie Monarch and LaRose Currie. Monarch posted a career-high 10 blocks and Currie collected her fourth straight double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs.

IN THE POLLS
While the Orediggers did drop a match last week, it did nothing to change their status in the AVCA Coaches' Top-25 as they remained #22. MSU Denver moved up to #20 in this week's poll while Colorado Mesa fell out. Minnesota Duluth remained as the nation's top ranked squad.

RMAC TOURNAMENT UPDATE
Down to the final three weeks of RMAC play, Mines is very close to clinching its ninth consecutive trip to the RMAC Tournament. The Orediggers would lock up the spot this weekend with victories over both Chadron State and Regis, and either a simple CCU loss or both CSU-Pueblo and Western State dropping a match.

RECORD CLINCHED
During the first set of last Friday's match at MSU Denver, senior right side hitter Alanna Winfield became the program's new all-time leader in career kills. Winfield broke Jackie Stabell's (2009-12) four-year old record of 1,516 kills on Mines' 21st point of the opening set. She now has 1,532 career kills.

MILESTONE UPCOMING
If the Orediggers were to win both of this weekend's matches, head coach Jamie Skadeland will notch her 200th career victory. Currently, Coach Skadeland has a 198-73 overall record and a 126-34 mark in RMAC matches.

ON A TEAR
Junior outside hitter LaRose Currie has been on an absolute tear over her last seven matches. During that span, Currie has posted five double-doubles (four straight) while averaging 3.31 k/s and 3.38 d/s. She has also posted career-highs for kills (16) and digs (22) during the streak.

THE SERIES
Mines leads the all-time series against Chadron State 34-14, and have won 15 in a row against the Eagles. The Orediggers are 19-26 all-time against the Regis Rangers, and dropped a five-set non-conference match earlier this season.

SCOUTING CHADRON STATE
Chadron State comes to Golden with a 6-15 overall record and 5-7 mark in the RMAC. The Eagles are led by setter Madison Webb and outside hitter Rudy Leasau who average 10.19 a/s and 3.59 k/s, respectively. Kenzie Chrisman (1.03 b/s) and Emily Bruce (4.93 d/s) are both fifth in the league in blocks and digs, correspondingly.

SCOUTING REGIS
The Rangers (14-8, 9-4) make their hay as one of the conference's top hitting (.221) and digging (17.04) teams. Leading the offense is redshirt-senior right side hitter Katie Klein who is fourth in the league at 3.65 k/s. Yagoda Jedrzejczak is a force at the net with 64 total blocks for a 0.93 per set average.
