Mines volleyball kicks off Homecoming week with a midweek trip to Regis on Tuesday evening.
LAST WEEKEND REWIND
The Orediggers were simply on fire this past weekend as they swept both Black Hills State and S.D. Mines & Tech in straight sets. First, behind a ferocious defensive effort, Mines got by the Yellow Jackets by the scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-19. They followed that up with a monster offensive hitting night in the win over the Hardrockers where they won by the scores of 25-18, 25-7 and 25-14.
IN THE POLLS
Mines remained #16 in the latest AVCA NCAA Division II Coaches poll that was released earlier this afternoon. For the first time this season, there is a new top-ranked team in Minnesota Duluth who gave Concordia-St. Paul its first loss. RMAC rival MSU Denver sits one spot outside the top-25 with 90 points.
IN THE RMAC STATS
Another week of play sees the Orediggers continue rise in prominence in the RMAC statistical rankings. Mines leads the league in hitting percentage (.262), kills per set (14.18) and assists per set (13.24). They are also fourth in both blocking (2.05) and service aces (1.43).

Huber has 1,569 career digs which is third most in program history.Â
RECORD WITHIN SIGHT
Alanna Winfield is also having a banner season and where it's really showing up is in the Mines career record books. Winfield now has 1,463 career kills which currently places her third all-time, but she is only 54 kills away from passing
Jackie Stabell (2009-12) for the program all-time record of 1,514.Â
SERIES RECORD
The Orediggers are 19-25 all-time against the Rangers, but have won the last seven in a row which included three victories just last season.Â
SCOUTING REGIS
Winners in its last two outings, Regis welcomes Mines to the Regis Fieldhouse with a 7-7 overall record and a 3-3 mark in the RMAC which places them in a tie for seventh-place. The Ranger sit in the top-six in most offensive categories. Katie Klein (3.51) and Kelsey Green (3.10) lead the RU offense as each average over three-plus kills a set. Setting duties are split between Silvia Basso (6.88), Jaclyn Williamson (4.75) and Gabby Haugh (4.30)
