THE CHAMPS ARE HERE
Colorado School of Mines won its fourth straight RMAC regular-season championship on Sunday, beating Adams State 6-0 and benefiting from Western State's 0-0 draw with CSU-Pueblo to win the title outright by two points over Pueblo.

MINES IN THE RANKINGS
Mines jumped up four spots to #6 in the NSCAA Top 25 poll this week, and more importantly is atop the NCAA South Central regional rankings for the second straight week.

MINES IN THE RMAC TOURNAMENT
The Orediggers have owned the RMAC Tournament this decade, lifting five straight cups starting in 2011. This will be the fourth consecutive year they have been the #1 seed, and they are making their tenth straight appearance overall, going 10-4-2 all-time (both ties resulted in shootout wins). Last year, under the old six-team format, Mines beat MSU Denver 2-1 in the semifinals before defeating Fort Lewis 1-0 to win the cup.

SCOUTING MINES
The Orediggers (16-2) are led by Emily Garnier, who has been arguably the best two-play player in the conference this season. Garnier has team highs in goals (7), assists (7), and points (21) while anchoring a backline that is surrendering only 0.5 goals per game. Fellow center back Emily Townsend has five goals and three assists, and Jaclyn Knott and Taylor McRae have six goals apiece. Sam Zumbro has a 0.53 GAA and .813 save percentage.

SCOUTING WESTERN STATE
Western State is making its first-ever RMAC Tournament appearance in its fifth year as a varsity program, clinching its place thanks to a scoreless draw with CSU-Pueblo on Sunday. The Mountaineers are 6-8-3 overall (2-4 on the road), led by Jessica Kresl (4G) and Andrew Grillo (3G, 2A). Katie Simpson-Johnson has a 1.20 GAA and .804 save percentage this season with four shutouts. Overall, WSCU is scoring 1.18 and allowing 1.29 goals per game.

NEXT UP
The winner of Wednesday's game will meet the winner of MSU-Denver and Colorado Mesa on Friday. Should Mines advance, they will host that game and the other semifinal on Friday at times to be announced.
