#13 Mines Cruises Past Diné

GOLDEN, Colo. - #13 Colorado School of Mines cruised to a 121-30 victory over Diné College Saturday night, paced by numerous individual career highs.

The Orediggers (5-1) set records for largest margin of victory and fewest points allowed in a game as they ran away with the win behind career highs from Mark Winans (20 points), Ruben Jackson (17 points), and Luke Golter (9 points) off the bench, with Gokul Natesan scoring 19 in only 15 minutes. 

Mines went wire-to-wire as they shot 58.8 percent for the game. The Orediggers scored 43 consecutive points from the midpoint of the first half to the midpoint of the second.

NOTABLES
- Mines' previous best defensive game was a 39-point effort against Colorado College in 2001. Their 91-point margin was the biggest in program history, surpassing a 122-46 win over Rockmont in 1976-77.
- Winans notched 20 points, five steals, and three assists in 25 minutes, shooting 8-for-12 with two three-pointers. Jackson canned three from the outside to make his 17 points, with a game-high six assists and four steals.
- Golter notched his first career points with his first bucket coming on a second-half three-pointer.
- Adam Laine added 10 bench points. Every Oredigger scored, with starters Ben Sonnefeld and Zach Rusk notching nine and Murphy Gershman and Brandon Lueders six each off the bench. Lueders' total was a career-best.
- The Orediggers recorded 22 steals, led by Winans' five takeaways and Jackson's four.
- Mines scored 28 fastbreak points with 48 points off turnovers. The Orediggers had 75 points off the bench.
- Urian Yazzie scored 17 points for Diné.
