After returning from a weekend in The Golden State, Mines (1-2-1) begins the defense of their RMAC Championship with trips to Colorado Christian and CSU-Pueblo.
LAST WEEKEND LOOK BACK
Mines went 0-1-1 this past weekend in California with a tough 1-0 loss to UC San Diego followed by draw against the Sea Lions of Point Loma. Against UCSD (Sept. 8), a 62' proved the difference as the Orediggers and Tritons largely played each other to a stalemate.Â

Leo Chely made five saves to keep the Sea Lions off the scoreboard as well.

Speaking of
Leo Chely, the freshman from France has been solid in net through the first two weekends of the season. Chely has made 15 saves for a 0.833 save percentage and a 0.71 goals against average. He has also posted two shutouts so far while facing 49 saves.
SERIES RECORDS
The Orediggers have long histories with this week's two opponents with both being longtime RMAC rivals. Mines is 33-10-2 all-time against CCU with a pair shutout victories (6-0, 4-0) last season. Mines also went 2-0 last season against CSU-P with a 7-0 victory at home and a 2-1 road victory to end the 2015 regular season. The Orediggers are 30-9-4 all-time against the Thunderwolves.
SCOUTING CCU
After finishing 1-16-1 in 2015, the Cougars off to another tough start as they are already 0-4 to begin 2016. They have only scored two goals so far this season with one coming in a 2-1 loss to Texas A&M International on September 4, and another in a 6-1 defeat at Seattle Pacific on September 8. Both goals have come from freshman Genaro Arellano.
SCOUTING CSU-PUEBLO
The Thunderwolves are currently 2-2 overall with victories over Newman (1-0) and Lubbock Christian (2-1) to open the season, and back-to-back losses last weekend to Northeastern State (2-1) and West Texas A&M (3-0). Junior Connor Marth is off to an impressive start for CSU-Pueblo as he has a goal and two assists for a team-best four points. Sophomore Erich Frey is team's starter in goal with a 0.83 GAA and a .769 save percentage.Â
