GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines shut out South Dakota Mines, 3-0, with
Ryan Blarr tying a program record by handing out three assists.
Adam Fox,
Ashi Geberkidane, and
John Haist provided the goals as the Orediggers (5-3-1, 4-1 RMAC) dominated the game with an 18-8 shots advantage.
Fox got things started quickly when Blarr put a long cross to his head, and Fox finished at the far post at 8:59. It stayed 1-0 until the second half when Geberkidane potted from Haist's flick of Blarr's endline run at 64', and Blarr rifled a fantastic cross to Haist's head at 77'.
Leo Chely was outstanding to earn the shutout, making several key stops including swatting away a corner late in the first half and stoning Justin Barkow's breakaway in the second.

- Blarr tied former teammate
Richard Garvey's three-assist record, which he set back in 2014.
- South Dakota Mines led 6-5 on corners. It was a chippy game with 28 combined fouls and two yellows for each team.
- Geberkidane was the most active Oredigger with four shots. Both Haist and
Preston Migaki hit the post in the first half.
- The shutout was Chely's fifth of the season.
