Box Score CHADRON, Neb. - A balanced scoring load and hot shooting helped #6 Colorado School of Mines remain unbeaten as they cruised past Chadron State 83-61 in the RMAC opener.

The Orediggers improved to 7-0 behind 46 bench points, including 16 by Mason Baker and nine from Adam Laine, while Luke Schroepfer dropped in 13 and Ben Sonnefeld and Michael Glen had nine each.

Mines shot 51 percent overall but were even better from distance, sinking 10-of-19 (52.6 percent) of their three-point tries to get up big early and never look back. CSC (2-5, 0-1 RMAC) was paced by Jaisean Jackson's 19 points.

The Orediggers never trailed after the opening few minutes, quickly jumping out to a double-digit lead after Baker hit a jumper at the 11:05 mark of the first half and leading by 12, 42-30, at the half. It was more of the same in the second half and Mines won going away, with their largest lead of 26 coming with 1:29 remaining.

The early lead helped Mines give plenty of minutes off the bench as 11 players had 10 or more minutes and all 12 players who got on the court scored.

Mines will head to Regis on Sunday for a 3:30 p.m. tip-off.
