PREVIEW: Orediggers Put Win Streak On Line Against CCU

THE MATCH-UP
Mines (15-11, 11-6) puts its four-game win streak on the line against rival Colorado Christian (9-13, 7-10) in a rare Saturday afternoon game. The Orediggers are currently in a tie for fifth-place in the RMAC with Fort Lewis, but are only two games out of second place. For the Cougars the game is huge as they sit only half a game out of the final RMAC Tournament slot.

LAST WEEK LOOK BACK
The Orediggers completed the season sweep of Regis and Chadron State in pair of road victories last weekend. First, Mines pulled off a massive 82-79 overtime victory at the then nationally 22nd-ranked Rangers. Emily Bailey scored a career-high 29 points while Laura Tyree pushed the game into overtime with a clutch three-pointer and assisted on the game-winning bucket in OT. Paige Husa then scored a career-best 18 points in Mines' 84-73 at CSC. 

PREVIOUS MATCH-UP
The current four-game winning streak began with Mines' 79-62 victory at Colorado Christian on January 24. Other than a brief tie midway through the first quarter, the Orediggers led from start to finish in Lakewood. Mikaela Moore paced the way with her first career double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. Laura Tyree (16), Emily Bailey (13), Cassidy Budge (11) and Lauren Ruess (10) also reached double-digit in points.

RMAC RANKINGS
Mines has four players in the top-30 in scoring in the conference with Emily Bailey ninth in the league at 14 points per game. Bailey also leads the league in free three % (.873), is sixth in field goal % (.396) and fourth overall in blocks per game (1.3). Anna Kollmorgen is ninth in the league in rebounding (7.1), and Budge is third in made three-pointers (55). Finally, Tyree is seventh in the RMAC at 3.1 assists per game.

WHO TO WATCH
Guard/forward Alex Nelson does it all for the Cougars as she averages a conference seventh-best 14.2 points and is 11th in the league in rebounds at 7.0 a game. Nelson is shooting .417 from the field and .827 from the charity stripe.
