COLORADO SPRINGS - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, in conjunction with streaming partner Stretch Internet, has announced that the RMAC Network will expand to Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Android TV beginning this fall.
The RMAC is the first of Stretch Internet's nearly three dozen conference partners to boast custom apps across all four platforms. These apps will provide fans a seamless way to access content directly on their TVs - with no need to "relay" or "cast" the stream from tablets, phones, or computers. Users can access the content simply by searching for "RMAC" on the app interfaces on any of the compatible devices, and then downloading the free RMAC Network app. These channels are in addition to the ability to watch the RMAC Network on computers, tablets, and phones.
The RMAC Network, launched in 2015, will enter its third year of existence streaming live and on-demand video from each of the RMAC's 15 members. Each member will stream, at minimum, its home football, volleyball, and men's and women's basketball contests. Many institutions also stream additional sports; Mines is committed to providing live video for home men's and women's soccer, swimming, wrestling, baseball, and softball in addition to the four core sports.
The first chance to catch the Orediggers on the RMAC Network in 2017-18 will be football's primetime match-up at CSU-Pueblo on Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. Mines' first home production will be Sept. 1 with the first two Mines matches in the Oredigger Volleyball Classic starting at 3:30 p.m. and continuing for two more matches on Sept. 2. Men's and women's soccer will debut for the season on Sept. 8 as they host Cal State Monterey Bay and UC San Diego, respectively, in a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. All games can be accessed from the respective sport's schedule page, or by visiting minesathletics.com/tv or using one of the smart TV apps.
