THIS WEEKEND
The Orediggers have another split home/away week as they host crosstown rival Colorado Christian (3-15, 2-10 RMAC) before traveling to Alamosa to face Adams State (10-10, 8-6 RMAC). It will be the first of two meetings against CCU in the span of two weeks, while it will be the only match-up of the year against ASU.

LAST WEEKEND
Mines split their two games last weekend, winning 81-78 at New Mexico Highlands before CSU-Pueblo's comeback stunned them 83-79 at home. At NMHU, Duke Douglas dropped in a career-high 26 points on 10-of-13 shooting and Michael Glen had a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double that included four blocks. Luke Schroepfer downed 20 points with four assists. On Saturday against Pueblo, Mines held a 17-point halftime lead, but CSUP shot 13-of-17 from beyond the arc in the second half to overcome Mines despite Brandon Lueders' 18-point, 12-rebound double-double.

LAST YEAR VS. CCU/ASU
Mines won both meetings against CCU, 76-75 on the road and 89-76 at home. In Lakewood, Mines survived a wild game as Gokul Natesan scored 17, and Natesan had 19 in the home meeting. Mines beat Adams State 75-66 in the regular season courtesy of Murphy Gershman's double-double, then handled the Grizzlies 99-79 in the RMAC Tournament quarterfinals as they sank eight three-pointers in the second half.

LUEDERS' CAREER GAME
Brandon Lueders has started the last four games for Mines in the post, the first starts of his career, and his production has ramped up accordingly in each of those games. Against CSU-Pueblo, Lueders had the best game of his career, shooting 9-of-13 to produce his first career double-double at 18 points and 12 rebounds, while also adding two assists. His 22 minutes were also a career high.

A HELPING HAND
Ben Sonnefeld has only two and a half seasons of running the point under his belt, but the redshirt junior has already cracked the Mines all-time top 10 list in assists. Sonnefeld's 266 career assists put him eighth, with Brett Green (275, 2009-13) up next. This season he's generating 3.7 assists per game, a career-best rate, and is also on pace for career highs in scoring (11.9 ppg) and rebounding (3.6 rpg).

ON THE AIR
Earlier this month the RMAC announced that five Colorado School of Mines basketball games were selected to air on Comcast Entertainment Television in February. Mines' home doubleheaders against Regis on Feb. 2 and Fort Lewis on Feb. 16 will have both the women's and men's games televised, while Mines' men's game at MSU Denver on Feb. 24 will also air on CET. As a result, all five game times have changed; the two home doubleheaders will now be 5 p.m./7 p.m. tip-offs changed from 6 p.m./8 p.m., while the men's game at MSU Denver is pushed back to a 7:30 p.m. start time from 7 p.m.
