Mines Dominates In 72-45 CCU Win

Box Score GOLDEN, Colo. – Colorado School of Mines led wire-to-wire, dominating Colorado Christian in a comprehensive 72-45 win.

The Orediggers (12-7, 9-4 RMAC) put on a defensive masterclass, holding the Cougars (6-12, 4-9 RMAC) to 26.8 percent shooting and recording seven steals.

Nicole Archambeau had a tremendous game, scoring 26 points with 12 rebounds and adding four steals and two blocks on the defensive end. Anna Kollmorgen drained 19, while Cassidy Budge added eight. CCU was led by Haley Shaner with 21 points off the bench.

Mines led from the very first basket, racing out to an early 8-0 lead and extending it to double digits thanks to a 12-2 run wrapped around the end of the first and start of the second quarter.

The Orediggers effectively put the game out of reach early in the third quarter with a 6-0 run to lead 49-26, and CCU never got closer than 15 as Mines won going away, holding the Cougars without a field goal over the final 6:17 of the game and only one in the final nine minutes.

NOTABLES
- Mines' passing game was on point as they assisted on 21 of 27 baskets. Mikaela Moore led with a career-high seven assists, and Elizabeth Tomon and Budge each dished four.
- Archambeau's double-double was her seventh of the season. Her 26 points were one short of her career high. She shot 11-of-17.
- Mines owned the interior, outrebounding CCU 42-30 and leading 40-14 in points in the paint.
