Box Score KEARNEY, Neb. - Nebraska-Kearney hit a big second-half run to overcome an early Colorado School of Mines lead and win, 67-60, in non-conference play on Sunday.

The Orediggers (1-3) had four players score in double digits, led by Michael Glen's 13-point, 7-rebound game and Mason Baker's 11-point, 7-board game. The Lopers (2-2) used an 11-0 run midway through the second half to bounce back from a slow start and take the lead. Kanon Koster led UNK with 17 points and 12 rebounds while Henry Penner scored 13 off the bench. UNK shot 56 percent in the second half following a 29-percent first.

Mines took advantage of a poor shooting start by the Lopers to lead by as much as 11 in the first half, but the Lopers used the first of two big runs to make it a one-bucket game at the break. With Mines lead 21-10 after a Ben Sonnefeld three-pointer, UNK hit a 13-2 run to tie it at 23-23, but another Sonnefeld three would be the only field goal in the final four minutes of the half as Mines led 26-23.

The Orediggers stayed on top through the opening minutes of the second, leading by as much as five at 36-31 after a pair of Glen free throws, but the Lopers hit their decisive run sparked by a pair of Koster free throws and five straight Chase Winchester points. They held Mines without a field goal for a 5:00 stretch in the process, flipping their five-point deficit into a 44-37 lead.

Mines got as close as two after an Austin Means bucket with 4:40 left made it 50-48, but Winchester and Penner threes around two Sam Morris free throws secured the game for UNK.
