THIS WEEKEND
Mines hosts a pair of key RMAC games this weekend with crosstown rival Regis visiting Friday night and Chadron State on Saturday. At 9-5 in RMAC play, the Orediggers are in the thick of the postseason hunt currently in fourth place, a half-game back of MSU Denver, with Regis tied at 9-5. Chadron State is 1-14 in RMAC play this year and sit last in the league standings.

EARLIER THIS SEASON
Mines swept the Regis-Chadron State road weekend back on Dec. 1 and 3, handling CSC 83-61 in Nebraska before a huge second half helped beat Regis 69-58. At Chadron State, Mines generated 46 bench points including 16 by Mason Baker as they shot 51 percent overall and 10-of-19 from distance in an easy win. Against Regis, Mines trailed 33-26 at the half but outscored the Rangers 43-25 in the second as Luke Schroepfer dropped 28 points including six three-pointers; the win was Pryor Orser's 300th in charge of the Orediggers.

NO NO NO
Felix Scheytt had a game to remember at Adams State, blocking a career-high six shots in the Mines loss. That tied Scheytt for the second-most in a game by an Oredigger and the most since Trevor Wages swatted seven against CCU in 2013-14.

SONNEFELD MOVES UP ASSISTS LIST
With 272 career assists, redshirt junior Ben Sonnefeld keeps moving up the Mines career assists list. He is  four away from surpassing Brett Green's 275 tally from 2009-13 for seventh all-time, with Trevor Ritchie's 280 in sixth.
