COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado School of Mines Track and Field alum Hannah Davey-Briggs ('06) was announced as one of six members of the 2018 RMAC Hall of Fame class, released by the league office Thursday.

Davey-Briggs was a four-time letter winner in outdoor track and field, indoor track and field, and cross country at Mines. She ran four events throughout her collegiate career - the 3,000-meter steeplechase, the 400-meters, the 1,500-meters, and the Distance Medley Relay (DMR).

In cross country, Davey-Briggs received all-conference recognition in 2004 and 2005. During the 2005 season, she led the Orediggers to a fifth-place finish at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II (DII) National Championships and earned All-American honors.

Davey-Briggs ran the second leg of the distance medley relay (DMR) team that finished second and broke a program record (11:39.02), at the NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field National Championships in 2006. In her senior season, she was also a NCAA DII All-America and Second Team All-RMAC selection for DMR.

Her most successful event was arguably the 3,000-meter steeplechase. In 2004, she was the NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field National Champion in the event with a time of 10:33.72 and was named a NCAA DII All-American in the event. The following year, she won the RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and was an NCAA DII national qualifier in the event. Davey-Briggs was a two-time First Team All-RMAC selection in steeplechase (2005, 2006) and was also named First Team All-RMAC in the 1500-meters (2005).

Off the track, Davey-Briggs also excelled academically. She was a seven-time RMAC All-Academic selection and was named Colorado School of Mines' Female RMAC Student-Athlete during the 2005-06 academic year. In 2006, she received USTFCCA All-Academic recognition.

Davey-Briggs was inducted into Mines' Hall of Fame as part of the 15th annual class in 2010. She is the 10th Oredigger to be enshrined by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The last Mines' inductee was Jack Hancock in the class of 2016.

The rest of the 2018 class includes Olin Hatfield Chilson (University of Colorado), Dick "Drag" Drangmeister (WNMU, Southern Colorado, Adams State), Doug Moses (Adams State, Southern Colorado), Danny Sanchez (MSU Denver), Tricia Lukawski (Chadron State) and the 1997 and 1998 Regis Volleyball teams.
