PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Colorado School of Mines Men's and Women's Track and Field teams crowned eight NCAA All-Americans Saturday on the final day of the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships as the men finished 11th and the women 32nd inside the Robert W. Plaster Center.
 
Mines finished the national competition with a combined 12 individual All-Americans with the men's distance medley relay also earning All-America Honors. The men finished with eight Orediggers earning 10 All-America distinctions. Mines' women closed the weekend with two NCAA First-Team All-Americans.
 
Connor McLean and Chloe Cook led the way for the Orediggers. McLean finished second in the nation in the pole vault as he broke the program record yet again, vaulting 5.25 meters (17-2.75). Chloe Cook finished fourth in the nation in the mile run, running the second-fastest time in Mines history, 4:50.29.
 
Molly Reicher was not far behind Cook in the mile, finishing eighth and grabbing first-team honors in 4:51.71. Courtney Clark also competed for the Oredigger women, finishing 16th after a top throw of 14.03 meters (46-0.5).
 
For the men, McLean also competed in the heptathlon but bowed out to focus on the pole vault after failing to record a mark in the high jump. Patrick Weaver added yet another All-America honor to his name, finishing sixth in the 800-meter run in 1:50.62.
 
Josh Hoskinson and Grant Colligan grabbed their second All-America honors of the weekend, finishing 11th and 12th in the 3,000-meter run after finishing fifth and seventh in the 5,000-meter run Friday. The duo's times of 8:16.15 and 8:17.86 rank No. 2 and No. 3 in Mines history.
 
Triston Sisneros and Luke Julian capped off the Orediggers' weekend as Sisneros finished ninth in the hepthathlon, earning another All-America honor in the event while Julian raced to a ninth-place finish in the mile run. Sisneros' mark of 5320 is a personal record and ranks second all-time at Mines.
 
The Orediggers open up the outdoor season March 16-17 at the CSU-Pueblo Early Bird.
