Join Mines Athletics as the Orediggers host
Special Olympics Colorado on the Colorado School of Mines campus for Unified Basketball and Unified Soccer events this April and May.
Special Olympics Colorado athletes and fans are invited to participate in Unified Basketball on Thursday, April 19 at Lockridge Arena (at the Mines Student Recreation Center) and/or Unified Soccer on Friday, May 4 at the Mines IM Rec Field (also at the Mines Recreation Center). Participant check-in will begin at 5:00pm with games and activities starting at 5:30pm. The venue address is 1651 Elm Street, Golden, CO 80401.
Events include Unified Basketball and Soccer games featuring teams composed of Special Olympics athletes and Mines athletes from numerous Mines teams, fan-fun games (corn hole, ladder golf, and more), and mini-basketball and soccer camps/clinics (dribbling, passing, shooting, and goal keeping).
This event is free for participants and fans. Donations are encouraged and donation suggestion boxes will be available throughout the event. All proceeds go to benefit
Special Olympics Colorado.
Unified Sports pairs individuals with intellectual disabilities on the same team as individuals without disabilities to compete together and create a Unified environment where all are able to experience success, joy, and build friendships through sports.
