ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Colorado School of Mines receiver Brody Oliver has accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl, one of the premier senior all-star games in college football.

The game will be played Jan. 19 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. and will be televised live on the NFL Network with radio on Sirius XM Channel 88 at 1 p.m. MT. Oliver is one of only three NCAA Division II players invited along with Angelo State defensive lineman Markus Jones and Sioux Falls tackle Trey Pipkins.

Oliver earned his degree in metallurgical and materials engineering in December after completing an incredible career for the Orediggers this past fall. A consensus First-Team All-American, Oliver was the NCAA Division II leader in touchdown receptions with 21 while earning First-Team All-Region and All-RMAC honors. Oliver caught 73 passes for 1,339 yards and 21 touchdowns as he set the RMAC record for career touchdown catches (59) and became the Mines recordholder and only the second RMAC receiver to cross 4,000 career yards, ending with 4,010. He also ended his career as the Mines leader in yards per catch (17.9) and scoring (354). Oliver went over 100 yards receiving nine times in 11 games, including 174 at Black Hills State, 145 against Chadron State, and 135 at New Mexico Highlands, and had multiple touchdowns in six games, including a Mines record-tying five against Adams State and four at Fort Lewis.

Since 1925, the East-West Shrine Game has benefited Shriners Hospitals for Children and its mission to provide advanced care for children with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate, regardless of the families' ability to pay for services. The all-star game is the longest running in college football, with such NFL stars as Gale Sayers, Tom Brady, John Elway, Dick Butkus, Brett Favre, and Walter Payton having played in it.
