Mines To Meet Buffs On Dec. 8

12/4/2020 9:00:00 AM

BOULDER, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines men's basketball will travel to Boulder to face the University of Colorado on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m.

The game will be considered an exhibition for the Orediggers but be countable for the Buffs. Mines is filling a CU home date in place of Colorado State, who is unable to play due to COVID-19 issues. The Orediggers will follow all PAC-12 testing and safety guidelines prior to the contest.

The game will be televised live on the PAC-12 Networks.

Mines and CU have a long history having met 71 times since 1906, the last time officially in 1978. In recent years, the Orediggers have been frequent preseason guests in Boulder, playing numerous exhibitions there including, most recently, a 66-57 loss before the 2018-19 season. The Orediggers are ranked #13 in the NABC Division II top 25 poll at 1-0 and will meet South Dakota Mines Friday night; the Buffs are receiving votes in the most recent AP Division I poll at 2-0, and host Washington State Sunday night.
