ST. GEORGE, Utah -
Michael Glen's 21 points paced Colorado School of Mines as the Orediggers pulled away to beat South Dakota Mines 76-59 in the Under Armour RMAC Tournament semifinals.
The Orediggers (22-9) head to the final for the first time since 2017, where they will face fourth-seeded Colorado Mesa, who upset top-seeded Dixie State 86-79 in the other semifinal. The final will be Saturday at 7 p.m. at DSU.
Glen was 10-of-10 at the line and added seven rebounds to his 21 points as the Orediggers were 21-of-25 from the stripe overall.
Ben Boone added 13 points but it was the Mines bench, with a combined 26 points led by
Austin Means' 10, that made the difference.
The Hardrockers (17-13) were led by Allec Williams' near-triple-double of 15 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.
The Orediggers didn't trail after the first minute of the game, stretching the lead in the first half and never looking back. SDSMT cut it to a one-point game at 19-18 on a Williams layup, but Glen's bucket sparked a 15-4 run that blew it up into a 34-22 game at halftime.
Mines made it as much as a 20-point lead after Means' three-point play with 14:01 remaining, but the Hardrockers would not go quietly. A 6-0 run inside of two minutes made it 68-57 Orediggers, and after Glen's free throws and Williams' fastbreak bucket made it 70-59, Glen and Boone hit consecutive pairs of foul shots to re-extend the lead to 15 with 59 seconds left; Glen's transition dunk seconds later iced it.
