GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Colorado Mesa won a pair of run-rule shutouts to halve the weekend series with Colorado School of Mines.
After the Orediggers won two on Saturday, the Mavericks responded with wins of 11-0 and 8-0 on Sunday. It's the second straight season the two have split their four-game regular-season set.

Brooke Doumer, AnnMarie Torres, Camryn Mullen, and Jordyn Hays all went long and Torres drove in three runs for the Mavericks. CMU plated four in the first keyed by Torres' homer, then busted the game open with a seven-run third that included Hays and Doumer long balls.
Paige Adair (4-2) threw a one-hitter as only
Sam Wade recorded a hit for Mines;
Lauren Decker walked and stole a base.
Sydney Marchando (5-4) departed after the first allowing four runs;
Lauren Decker allowed five in the second inning, and

The Orediggers put six hits on the board led by
Renata Boyd's 2-for-3 game from the leadoff spot.
Shea Mauer (8-2) tossed a two-strikeout shutout.
Claire Stringfellow (2-5) allowed five earned in three innings, while
