GOLDEN, Colo. – Colorado School of Mines softball has signed six incoming freshmen and one transfer for the 2021 season, head coach
Tara Wheeler has announced.
Wheeler drew her first recruiting class from four states, with four Front Range natives joined by student-athletes from Arizona, Hawaii, and Texas. Mines will welcome transfer
Abree Karraker (Thornton, Colo./Horizon) from two-year power Tyler JC while adding freshmen
Paige Dompier (Scottsdale, Ariz./Pinnacle),
Kayleigh Krueger (Littleton, Colo./Arapahoe),
Sara Larson (Castle Rock, Colo./Chaparral),
Trystin Oshiro-Sano (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School),

2020 (at Tyler JC): Appeared in 13 games in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season … Hit .318 with a .500 slugging percentage, going 7-for-22 with two doubles, a triple, and four RBI … Per NJCAA rules, was not charged with a season of eligibility due to the shortened season.
2019 (at Tyler JC): NFCA Scholar All-America … Played in 25 games as a freshman, hitting .348 … Scored 18 runs with eight steals … Was 16-for-46 with seven RBI and a home run … Tyler JC went 58-9 with a NJCAA national finals appearance.
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time First-Team All-Conference selection at Horizon … Four-year letterwinner … Hit .300+ all four years including .452 as a junior and .391 as a senior … Dean's List student.
