Lucas King registered three points on a goal and an assist on Friday after as the Colorado School of Mines Soccer team rolled to a 3-0 victory at Adams State in their fall 2021 RMAC opener.
Eric Boone,
Baptiste Debuire,
Grant Bell and

Michael Sprauer and
John Burnett. Defensively,

Mines (6-3-0, 1-0-0 RMAC) put together a comprehensive victory as a team across the board. The Orediggers registered 16 shots including six attempts on goal. Mines' defense limited Adams State (1-7-0, 0-1-0 RMAC) to just three shots. Only of those three attempts found the frame. HOW IT HAPPENED
It took the Orediggers less than three minutes to get on the board. At the 2:31 mark,
Azad Iliozer was taken down hard in the penalty area which resulted in Mines opportunity from the spot. King stepped forward and swiftly converted for a 1-0 lead. That same pressure continued for another half hour before the visitors struck again. This time, it was
Eric Boone sending a leaping header to the back of the net off an arching serve from Bell. The first half came to a close with Mines leading 2-0 while Adams State had yet to attempt a shot.
In the second half, ASU managed to take at least one zero off the board with three shots. However, the Orediggers attempted seven shots. One of those seven shots came from Debuire who padded Mines' lead late with a goal off assists from King and Sokolowski. The clock hit zero with the Orediggers owning a convincing, 3-0 advantage.
