INDIANAPOLIS
- Colorado School of Mines took over the top spot in this week's NCAA regional rankings and moved up one spot in the national coaches' poll.

After debuting at #2 in last week's regional rankings, Mines (8-1) flip-flopped with Augustana (8-1) for this week's top spot. Central Washington is #3 followed by Midwestern State, Angelo State, Western Colorado, and Bemidji State to round out the top seven. Both Mines and Augustana face key games this weekend as the Orediggers head to CSU Pueblo, and Augustana hosts Minnesota Duluth, which is #8 in the regional rankings this week.

The regional rankings determined the NCAA Championship, with the top seven teams in each of the four super regions at seasons' end qualifying. The all-important #1 seed earns a first-round bye and homefield advantage through the quarterfinals.

In the national polls, Mines moved up one spot to #13 in the AFCA Coaches' poll, and remained at #12 in the D2football.com media ranking. Around the RMAC, Western Colorado moved up to #18 in the AFCA and #20 in the D2football.com polls, with Colorado Mesa falling out of both after falling to the Mountaineers. CMU and CSU Pueblo are receiving AFCA votes.

The Orediggers visit CSU Pueblo this Saturday at 2 p.m.
