MINES OPENS AT HOME

MASKS REQUIRED FOR FANS AT LOCKRIDGE ARENA
Consistent with the Jefferson County Public Health indoor masking order effective Wednesday, Nov. 24, masks will be mandatory for all spectators attending Colorado School of Mines home basketball games until further notice.

WELCOME BACK
Mines Athletics is excited to welcome fans back to Lockridge Arena for a men's basketball game for the first time since March 3, 2020. Since 2016-17, Lockridge Arena has been a daunting place for opponents to play as Mines has gone 64-12 on their home court.

LAST TIME OUT
Mines went 0-2 on its season-opening trip to Texas, falling 82-59 to St. Mary's on Nov. 12 before battling in a 79-63 setback to hosts #9 Lubbock Christian on Nov. 13. Brendan Sullivan and Ben Boone led Mines offensive averaging 16.5 and 13.5 points per game, respectively, for the weekend, while freshman Adam Krasovec added 7.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game, including an 11-point outing against LCU. .

AT THE HELM
The 2020-21 season will mark the 21st on the bench for Mines head coach Pryor Orser. Under Orser, Mines has gone 379-203, won five RMAC regular-season championships and two RMAC Tournament titles, and qualified for 11 NCAA Tournaments. His 268 RMAC wins (268-140 overall) are the second-most in conference history, and he has the chance to reach two milestones this season. His overall wins are currently seven behind Mines all-time leader Jim Darden (386 wins), and he could become only the second RMAC coach to reach 400 career victories as well.

ENGESSER NEARING 1,000
Justin Engesser has only played two games as an Oredigger, but he's already nearing the 1,000-point plateau for his career. The fifth-year senior, who scored 987 points in his career at Colorado Christian, had 11 combined points in Mines' first two games of the year to put him at 998 for his career.

MINES VS. PARK
This will be the first-ever meeting between Mines and Park, a member of the NAIA's Cal Pac Conference. The Buccaneers are 2-6 this season, and are led by Erik Palmer (12.3 ppg) and Trail Bates (10.8 ppg) in the scoring column. Palmer also adds 7.4 rebounds per game while Kelton Williams' 2.8 assists per game leads the team.

MINES VS. UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTHWEST
It will also be the first meeting between Mines and the University of the Southwest, which plays in the NAIA's Red River Athletic Conference. The Mustangs are 3-4, including a loss to the RMAC's New Mexico Highlands and a win over Western Colorado. They are led by the high-scoring duo of Brandon Meadows (18.0 ppg) and Jeremiah Toney (16.6 ppg) with Meadows also grabbing 7.8 rebounds to go with 2.2 assists per game.
