Clara Larson set the program's career RBI record as Colorado School of Mines fell to a hot-hitting West Texas A&M team, 19-5, in five innings at the WT Invitational.
The Buffs (6-0), who had beaten UCCS 19-0 earlier in the day, kept their bats hot with 16 hits and big run totals in the first three innings.
Larson became Mines' career RBI recordholder with her sacrifice fly in the third inning, surpassing Katie Kocman (2006-09) with her 183rd knock-in.
West Texas scored three in the first, six in the second, and 10 in the third. Gabriella Valforte impressed with a five-RBI game while Ruby Salzman and Sydney Greeson each homered for the Buffs.
Mines did get some offense in late as

Grace Gonzales had her first career RBI with a double to score
Renata Boyd, and
Kylie Redding singled in two runs as part of a four-run fifth.
Kyra Lair (4-0) had the win striking out six through three, with Sydney Greeson and Halle Lytal each throwing an inning of relief.
Kayleigh Krueger (0-1) took the loss in her first collegiate start with
Kylie Redding and
Lauren Decker each working relief innings.
The Orediggers stay in Texas to play UCCS and the Buffs again on Sunday starting at 2 p.m. CT.
