THE SCHEDULE
After playing three RMAC opponents in non-conference play, the Orediggers will play a limited five-game conference schedule this spring starting Sunday at Colorado Christian. The RMAC Tournament will crown a champion beginning April 23. Twelve of the RMAC's 13 women's soccer programs are playing this spring, with New Mexico Highlands the only opt-out.

IN THE POLLS
In February, Mines was announced as the top pick in the RMAC preseason coaches' poll. The Orediggers received 137 points and eight of the 12 first-place votes to lead UCCS, Westminster, Fort Lewis, and MSU Denver in the top five. The United Soccer Coaches' national poll also recognized Mines' good start with a #18 ranking in their first edition on March 9.

ROTH EARNS RMAC HONOR
Sierra Roth was named the RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week on March 10 for the first time in her career after backstopping Mines to a great start. Roth did not concede a goal in three starts and 223:33 of action to begin the season, going 2-0-1 in the process. She made eight saves off 15 shots faced, including a career-high five saves in a 3-0 shutout against MSU Denver.

THE SEASON SO FAR
The Orediggers are 2-0-1 in non-conference play, outscoring opponents 8-1 in that span. The spring began by drawing 1-1 with Regis on March 1 before beating MSU Denver, 3-0, on March 3 and Black Hills State, 4-0, on March 7. The Orediggers have been solid at both ends of the field; offensively they've produced 16.3 shots per game and have seven different goalscorers, with Chaney Brugman leading the way with two goals and an assist. Defensively Mines has been its usual dominant self with a 0.33 GAA and just 6.7 shots per game allowed.

SCOUTING COLORADO CHRISTIAN
The Cougars are 2-2 this season with wins over Black Hills State (twice) and losses to MSU Denver and Regis. This will also be CCU's RMAC opener. They are allowing 1.75 goals per game while scoring 1.0 per game on 12.5 shots. Kinley Sanders has scored twice while Brooke Schultz and Taya Starnes also have goals this season.

MINES VS. COLORADO CHRISTIAN
Mines and CCU will be meeting for the 25th time since 2005, and the Orediggers have never lost to the Cougars going 24-0-1 including 21 straight victories. They last played on Nov. 3, 2019 in the regular season finale, a 4-0 Mines win at Stermole Stadium with goals by Giselle Sawaged, Meg Zimmerman, and two late from Kaylee Kennedy.

LOOKING AHEAD
Mines will host its only home RMAC weekend of the spring on March 26 against Adams State and March 28 against CSU Pueblo.
