BOULDER, Colo. - For the first time ever, Colorado School of Mines and the University of Colorado will meet in women's soccer as the two have arranged a match on Wednesday, Aug. 25 at 4 p.m. in Boulder.

The match is technically an exhibition for the Orediggers, who by Division II rules can't start official competition until Sept. 2. It will be a counting match for the Buffs, who had a sudden hole in their schedule caused by a suspended match against Colorado State that was not completed.

The match will be streamed live on the Pac-12 digital platform. Admission will be free.

CU is 1-0 after a 1-0 overtime win against Colorado College on Sunday; they also defeated Air Force 2-0 in an exhibition on Aug. 14. Mines stuck with Wyoming every step of the way Friday in a 2-1 exhibition loss in Laramie, and won a friendly Sunday against FC Denver 3-0. The Orediggers officially open the season at home Sept. 2 against Simon Fraser.
