NEW ORLEANS – The Colorado School of Mines Men's and Women's Cross Country teams have closed the 2022 regular season and remain nationally ranked at #1 and #3, respectively, in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association national poll.

The Oredigger men and women swept the team titles on Saturday at the D2 Pre-Nationals hosted by Seattle Pacific at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place, Wash.
Dillon Powell fueled the men's title by finishing #1.
Loic Scomparin and
Duncan Fuehne slotted #2 and #3 on the way to 19 team points and a 64-point win over then-#5 Chico State.
Zoe Baker led the women to 37 points and a 51-point win over then-#11 Western Colorado thanks to her #3 finish. Adams State (#1), UCCS (#4), Western Colorado (#9), Colorado Christian (#12), and CSU Pueblo (#22) all remained ranked in the women's poll. Adams State (#2), Western Colorado (#9), Colorado Christian (#10), and UCCS (#16) were ranked in the men's poll.

The next action for Mines' men and women will be the postseason as they head to Durango, Colo., on Nov. 5 for the RMAC Championships. A full preview and any live coverage information will be released the week leading up to the event. The next national polls will come out Nov. 9, following the completion of all conference championships.
