LEARFIELD Directors' Cup Standings
GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines leads the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings after the fall season, measuring the top athletic program in NCAA Division II.
Mines qualified all six of its fall sports to the NCAA Championships to lead the rankings with 448 points, leading Wingate (373), Grand Valley State (304), West Texas A&M (298), and West Florida (256) in the top five. Mines and Wingate were the only two programs in NCAA Division II to qualify for all six fall championships.
Programs earn points based on their finishes in the NCAA Championships. Mines had another fantastic fall led by a national championship for men's cross country, football's first-ever national championship game appearance, a national third-place showing for women's cross country, and a deep run to the national quarterfinals for women's soccer, as well as regional qualifications for men's soccer and volleyball.
The RMAC was well-represented in the standings with CSU Pueblo in eighth and UCCS in 10th among conference nine programs to score points.
It marks the fifth consecutive fall that Mines has led in the fall standings. Mines tied its best overall finish last year in sixth place.
Additional standings will be announced after the winter season, with the final results in June following the conclusion of the spring championship season.
