Cliff Harris Award Nominees
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Colorado School of Mines redshirt senior
Mack Minnehan has been announced as a nominee for the Cliff Harris Award as the best small-college football defensive player.
A defensive co-captain, Minnehan was a consistent impact producer for the Orediggers with 65 total tackles, 13.0 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks from his outside linebacker spot. A do-it-all linebacker with a nose for the ball, Minnehan came up with four total turnovers - three fumble recoveries and an interception - and had three pass break-ups to lead the front seven in both categories.
Minnehan was well-rewarded after the season, earning D2CCA Second-Team All-Super Region 4 and First-Team All-RMAC honors. He is a two-time Mines graduate, earning both a B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering.
The Cliff Harris Award is open to all players in NCAA Division II, III and NAIA football and is presented by the Little Rock Touchdown Club and Wright Lindsey Jennings, LLP. It is named in honor of former Ouachita Baptist star Cliff Harris, who went on to five Super Bowl appearances and six Pro Bowls as a Dallas Cowboy and was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2021. The winner will be announced Dec. 30.
