COLORADO SPRINGS
- Day 1 of UCCS' Colorado Running Company Pre-Holiday Invite saw plenty of success for Colorado School of Mines as they qualified for Saturday finals and hit big marks in the field.

Hannah Miller's new program record in the pole vault led a dominating Mines day in the event as both she and Hunter Potrykus won.

In her season debut, Miller led a pole vault order that saw the top four and six of the top eight spots overall occupied by Orediggers, clearing 4.08m on her second attempt to edge her previous Mines mark of 4.06m set in 2021. It stands as the #3 performance of the young season in NCAA Division II. Right behind her was Avery Herbold, who got over 3.88m for second, while Dale Thompson and Ava Kowalski both cleared 3.68m; Lauren Kelly was sixth at 3.38m and Mia Martinsen's 3.23m was good for eighth.

Lexye Wood hit a big collegiate best in the long jump for second overall and first among collegians as she stopped at 5.70m, a 30cm improvement over her previous best. Avery Wright was sixth (5.33m) and Sidney Walshaw seventh (5.22m). Kitt Rupar's 14.31m was ninth in the weight throw.

On the track, Aryelle Wright ran a third-place 2:19.11 in her 800m season debut with Avary Catchings fifth in 2:24.54. Grace Galvin finished fourth in the 400m running 59.89, and Avery Wright qualified seventh in the 60m hurdles in a new PR of 9.42, with Sidney Walshaw ninth in another personal best of 9.79.

On the track for the men, Zack Raake and Garrett Halbrooks both moved into Saturday's 60m finals as Raake qualified fourth in 7.02 (a collegiate PR and the #5 all-time performance at Mines) and Halbrooks ran a tick behind in 7.03 for seventh. Everett Delate clocked 7.16 for 14th and Coulton Chan 7.45 for 20th. Delate and Chan went 2-3 in the 60m hurdle prelims, both moving into finals as Delate ran 8.15 and Chan a huge four-tenths PR of 8.26. Tim Thompson ran 2:02.30 for eighth in the 800m

Hunter Potrykus and Jackson Wray went 1-2 in the pole vault as the only two competitors to clear a height; Potrykus came in at 4.80m, passed on 4.90m, and then cleared 5.00m on his first try to win. Wray cleared a best of 4.50m for second. In the weight throw, the duo of Arvid Veidmark IV and Davin Kiesby finished third and fourth, respectively, as Veidmark hit a best mark of 16.52m and Kiesby a personal-best 15.94m.
