GAME 1 - BLACK HILLS STATE 6, COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES 1
Black Hills State slugged its way to a 6-1 win to open the final day of the season against Colorado School of Mines.

The Yellow Jackets homered twice and had a key two-run triple by Fallyn Marshall to produce their runs. Hannah Roberts led Mines at the plate going 2-for-3 and Sara Larson drove in the team's lone run.

Before the game, the Orediggers honored their two seniors, Claire Smith and Sam Wade, as they played at home for the final time. The duo are both four-year program members have been key leaders for a young team this season.

The game was scorelss into the fourth when Shayla Tuschen homered to left for the 1-0 lead, but Mines answered in the fourth when Larson laid down a squeeze bunt with Lauren Decker on third to tie it 1-1. BHSU blew the game open in the fifth, though, as Marshall tripled in two runs before an error allowed her score later in the inning for a 4-1 lead, and Bayleigh Hubbard's two-run home run in the sixth cemented the lead at 6-1.

Sadriena Rodriguez had a quality start allowing just the one run through four innings, with Taylor Wayne (3-7) taking the loss allowing five runs in the fifth. Cassidy Chvatal calmed the game with two innings of one-hit scoreless relief. Crystal Amaral (6-15) had six strikeouts in the victory for BHSU.

Mines battled to the finish, but Black Hills State's big second inning proved to be the difference in an 8-2 game to close out the weekend and season.

Crystal Amaral drove in four runs in a 3-for-4 game to lead the Yellow Jackets. Lauren Decker and Kayleigh Krueger each had two-hit outings with Krueger and Kailey Morales driving in the Orediggers' runs.

BHSU raced out to a big lead with seven runs over their first two at-bats, with Amaral's RBI single getting them up 1-0 in the first before a huge six-run second, keyed by Amaral's two-run home run, blew the game open at 7-0. Amaral's RBI single in the fourth made it 8-0 and put Mines on the brink of being run-ruled before Morales' double scored Kailey Robb in the fifth, and Krueger singled in Trystin Oshiro-Sano in the sixth.

Breanne Henricksen (1-4) earned the win in four innings of one-run ball, departing in the fifth for Shayla Tuschen who closed out a three-inning save.
