NCAA Selects 17 Orediggers to National Meet

2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships Entries

INDIANAPOLIS –
The Colorado School of Mines Men's and Women's Track & Field teams qualified 17 Orediggers for a total of 20 entries in the 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
 
Mines' men had 11 individuals punch 13 tickets in a field featuring 377 entries. The Oredigger women added six individuals and seven entries – also in a field of 377. Zoe Baker, Duncan Fuehne and Dillon Powell led the way with two entries apiece. Fuehne and Powell will both run the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters on the men's side. Baker will run the same races on the women's side. Steven Goldy, Dylan Ko and Loic Scomparin will join the fun in the men's 5K. Andrew Kaye and Kyle Moran are in the 10K. The rest of the men's field features Luke Julian running the 1,500 meters, Jake Mitchem in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Hunter Potrykus competing in the pole vault and Grant Redmond in the high jump.
 
The roster for the Oredigger women includes Molly Maksin joining Baker in the 10K. Avery Herbold and Hannah Miller will both compete in the pole vault. Lexye Wood punched her ticket in the high jump and Aryelle Wright earned her way in the 800 meters. Herbold and Wood are both making their NCAA Division II Championships debut.
 
Mines' men enter the season finale ranked eighth in the nation while the Oredigger women sit inside the top 30 at 27th. The DII championships are slated for May 26-28 in Allendale, Mich.
