Mines Football Returns To KWGN This Fall

8/9/2022 9:00:00 AM

DENVER - For the third consecutive season, Colorado School of Mines home football games will air live on KWGN Colorado's Own Channel 2, with five games televised this fall.

KWGN will carry the Orediggers' match-ups against Angelo State (Sept. 10), CSU Pueblo (Sept. 24), Colorado Mesa (Oct. 8), Black Hills State (Oct. 22), and Fort Lewis (Nov. 12), all beginning at noon. The games will also stream live on the RMAC Network and the RMAC Network app.

The 2022 season package continues a historic relationship between Mines and Channel 2; in 1952, the first televised football game in Colorado was carried on Channel 2 (then known as KFEL) as the Orediggers hosted Idaho State at Brooks Field. Since 2019, 10 Mines games have been carried by KWGN.

KWGN Colorado's Own Channel 2 is Denver's CW affiliate available over the air throughout northeastern Colorado and on cable and satellite systems throughout the state.
