Mines Continues to Maintain Status in National Rankings

D2SIDA Week 8 Media Poll
NABC Division II Coaches Poll
 
GOLDEN, Colo. – The latest D2SIDA Media Poll and NABC Coaches Poll were both released on Tuesday afternoon and after following a pair of wins in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play over the weekend, the Colorado School of Mines men's basketball team moved up one spot to sixth in the NABC Coaches Poll while remaining in the #10 spot in the D2SIDA Media Poll.
 
Mines (14-1, 8-1) ran their current winning streak to five games over the weekend at Lockridge Arena, knocking off CSU Pueblo 97-62 Friday night behind five double-digit scoring performances, led by a 16-point showing by Riley Schroeder before knocking off New Mexico Highlands 76-56 Saturday night on the heels of a 23-point outing from Adam Thistlewood.
 
Black Hills State remained in the three spot in both polls for the second week in a row while Fort Lewis, remained steady at #15 in the NABC Poll and #17 in the D2SIDA rankings. Colorado Mesa was back in the discussion as well, as they received votes in each poll this week.
 
Indiana (Pa.) and Nova Southeastern continue to hold the top two spots in both polls, while Northwest Missouri State and Lincoln Memorial round out the top five in each set of rankings.
 
The Orediggers kick off a four-game road trip this weekend when they head to Regis Friday night and Colorado Springs on Saturday to take on UCCS before returning to Denver Tuesday night for a midweek battle against MSU Denver.
