D2SIDA Week 7 Media Poll
NABC Division II Coaches Poll
GOLDEN, Colo. – The latest D2SIDA Media Poll and NABC Coaches Poll were both released on Tuesday afternoon and after opening the new year with a win, the Colorado School of Mines men's basketball team moved up one spot to #7 in the NABC poll this week while checking in at #10 in the D2SIDA Media Poll.
Mines (12-1, 6-1) opened 2023 with a 77-63 win over Colorado Christian on the road Sunday afternoon, behind a quartet of double-digit outings, including a trio of 14-point performances from
Brendan Sullivan,
Adam Thistlewood and
Adam Krasovec while getting 13 from
Cade Mankle in his third start of the season.
Black Hills State, who played just one game over the weekend due to weather, earned a pair of first place votes and remained in the three spot in both polls while Fort Lewis, who also only managed to get one game in over the weekend, also remained steady at #15 in the NABC Poll while moving up one position to #17 in the D2SIDA rankings.
Indiana (Pa.) and Nova Southeastern hold the top two spots in both polls, while Hillsdale and Missouri-St. Louis round out the top five in the NABC polls while Northwest Missouri State and Lincoln Memorial make up rest of the top five on the D2SIDA list.
The Orediggers return to Lockridge Arena this weekend for a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference contests, first taking on CSU Pueblo Friday night before welcoming New Mexico Highlands to town Saturday. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
