D2SIDA Week 11 Media Poll
NABC Division II Coaches Poll
GOLDEN, Colo. – The latest D2SIDA Media Poll and NABC Coaches Poll were both released on Tuesday afternoon and with just seven games remaining in the regular season, the Colorado School of Mines men's basketball team remains in high standing on the national level, checking in this week at #10 in the NABC Coaches Poll and #13 in the D2SIDA Media Poll.
Mines (19-2, 13-2) dropped just their second game of the season in a classic Top-25 battle Friday night to then #17/RV Fort Lewis 93-87 before rebounding Saturday with an emphatic 102-81 win over Adams State.
Black Hills State moved back up to third in the coaches poll this week following a pair of convincing wins over South Dakota Mines and Colorado Christian, while Fort Lewis climbed four spots to #13 by virtue of a win over Mines and a last-second escape at MSU Denver, and Colorado Mesa dropped six spots back to #22 following a 1-1 week that included a loss to Westminster on the road last Tuesday.
In the D2SIDA rankings, the Yellow Jackets return to the three spot as well while Fort Lewis burst back into the Top 25 at #14 after receiving votes last week, trading places with CMU who dropped out from 16 but is still earning votes.
Indiana (Pa.) and Nova Southeastern remain atop both polls at in the first and second spots respectively, while the remainder of the top five in the NABC rankings is comprised of Black Hills State, Northwest Missouri State and UNC Pembroke, while BHSU, Central Oklahoma and UNCP make up the top five in the D2SIDA poll.
The Orediggers return to the road this weekend for the South Dakota swing on the schedule, taking on the aforementioned Yellow Jackets Friday night at 7 p.m. in Spearfish before heading to Rapid City Saturday night to take on the Hardrockers at 6 p.m.
