KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches Week Eight Top 25 Poll for women's soccer was announced Tuesday and after closing out the home portion of their 2023 schedule with a pair of wins, the Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team jumped two spots in the national poll this week, rising to #14.

The Orediggers (11-2-3, 7-1-2) downed New Mexico Highlands and Adams State at Stermole Stadium over the weekend by scores of 5-0 and 3-0. Seven different players found the back of the net on the weekend led by Bella Campos who scored in each match and now has 10 goals on the season to tie for the RMAC lead while Cloey Seltzer and Ellise Putnam each recorded two assists.

A new name graced the top of the rankings this week as Catawba took over the #1 spot, trading places with Ashland who had been at the head of the table for the past six weeks. College of Saint Rose climbed one spot to third from fourth while Colorado Mesa jumped two spots from sixth to fourth this week, while Kutztown rounded out the top five after they too advanced two positions from seventh last week. Early season foe Dallas Baptist remained in the rankings this week, rebounding back up to #22 while Seattle Pacific and UCCS nearly dropped out this week but held on at #24 and #25 respectively.

The Orediggers have a pair of big matches on the road to close the regular season, first taking on the #4 Mavericks Friday night at 6 p.m. before heading to Salt Lake City Sunday for a 2:30 p.m. match with Westminster.
