COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – With the conclusion of regular season play on Wednesday, the field for the 2023 edition of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women's soccer championship has been set and will see the defending champions and seventh-ranked Colorado School of Mines women's soccer play host to opening round action at Stermole Stadium this weekend as the second overall seed.
By virtue of their 1-0 win over CSU Pueblo Wednesday evening, UCCS claimed the 2023 regular season title and earned the top seed in the tournament, posting a record of 10-1-1 in their 12 conference matches, and will host the eighth-seeded Westminster Griffins in the opening round. Mines will get a rematch with the seven seed Fort Lewis Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Stermole Stadium while last year's tournament runner-up Regis earned the third seed and will take on the sixth-seeded ThunderWolves in Denver. Rounding out the first round matchups will be the four seed Colorado Mesa, who two weeks ago looked poised to win the league, and the five seed MSU Denver. All information regarding game times and ticketing, along with a bracket and championship program can be found
here.
